Typically, what pets are seen in China? As in what is the favorite pet? Do people have common pets, such as cats and dogs, or are they more likely to have other pets such as snakes and lizards?
I do know that cats and dogs are very common household pets to have in Beiijing. I am sure that there are others as well that are common but I do not know them offhand.
I know that some of them like ducks. I am not sure how common it is to have a duck for a pet in China but a site that I had visited about China talked about ducks there and it sounded like they were pets.
Ducks? I have never heard of that but I guess that it could be a choice for a pet. Then are these ducks outdoor pets or do they allow them to come in the home?
Interesting that ducks would make a popular pet in China. I have never heard of that from China. I would not want a duck for a pet, I just do not see them as being loving.
I'm sure that birds would be a very popular pet in China, as they are very low maintenance, in that they require only a small area of living space-unlike a cat or dog that must free roam in the house.
A tiny toy dog would be an ideal pet for a small Chinese home or apartment. Possibly even a small rodent such as gerbil or guinea pig. Either one of those is very easy to care for and low maintenance.
Can you actually have ducks in the city? Maybe you are thinking of country living where ducks would have plenty of outdoor areas to roam about. In the city, there would be very little place for a duck to go.
