I'd love to know what Chinese marriages are like. For instance, is it very common for husband and wife to argue a lot? Who usually wins? Are Chinese husbands and wives very happy with the married state? Is it like in the United States where marriage is an equal partnership with love, rather than a man as head of household/woman as secondary role. That seems very old fashioned to me, though I'm not judging. It's just not something I would feel comfortable with. I think Chinese relationships would be modern, especially with younger people who have access to social media. However, not so sure about the more well established relationships/marriages, such as with people who grew up in the 1950's and 60's. Maybe those marriages are more traditional. It's the same way here in America as typically older couples have more traditional marriages or at least did during the early years.
Tell me what you know about Chinese love, relationships and marriage. What roles does each person play? And, is it similar to Western marriages?
